Project Description

The African Union (AU) Commission implements a strategy to maintain peace and security throughout the African continent. To support its efforts, the German Federal Foreign Office has donated a specialized, state-of-the-art building for the AU's Peace and Security Department.  This 26 million Euro building Project has approximately 13,500 sq meter of floor space to includes offices for about 360 employees. 

The new building meets international design standards for environmental sustainability, incorporating climate-friendly and energy-efficient technologies such as KNX smart lighting technologies as well as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning) system.

 Worked on improving the accuracy of budget and accounting for the African Union (AU)
 Monitored and evaluated the quality of all project data.
 Served as a cashier/bookkeeper and performed most of the financial related activities
 Facility management in terms of working on the project budget control
 Performed other administrative functions of the project drafted project business plans
 Reviewed contract documents for all subcontractors and project consultants Assisted in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule
 Managed payroll and accounting for over 30 workers
 Managed job attendance for internal workers and worked with subcontractors to execute their job attendance in accordance with project schedule

Worked at the Centro de Investigacion y Docencias Economicas (CIDE), Aguascalientes addressing five projects sectors including Waste Management, Waste Water Treatment, Water Efficiency, Nutrient Mining, and LED lighting.

Acted as a student consultant on the project for the Aguascalientes municipality and state working in partnership with local Mexican university students and research institute leaders to turn energy, water, and waste challenges into opportunities.

Within this duration, I as well worked as a research student with IfaS on project development and project fundraising. My responsibilities included but not limited to these:
