Smoke & Rye is an award winning American restaurant based in the Midlands region of the UK.
Currently running the daily operations of the restaurant and fully responsible for every aspect of the business. Spearheading a team of 28 staff and 6 senior managers. Monitoring of business performance internally and externally using KPI's such as GP analysis, sales targets and online customer review portals. All business management aspects including brand work, marketing, promotion, strategy, finance, growth, strategy and accounting. Operational functions as Head Chef or Restaurant Manager when required.
Achievements include concept, design and launch of the successful brand, moving to a larger, more premium location, winning TMP Best American Restaurant, winning Lux Life Best BBQ West Midlands, Corporate Livewire UK Innovation Award, achieving number 1 on Tripadvisor.com and Certificate of Excellence annually and improving turnover year on year by at least 20% for the first 3 years of operation. Moving to new site has improved turnover so far by 120% between year 3 and 4. Business value improvement of 200% in 4 years.
