Military Pay Technician
Expert in correcting leave and pay accounts, reviewing and researching control reports, and handling miscellaneous adjustments and corrections to members' pay accounts for reserve and active United States Coast Guard. Expertise auditing reports, military entitlements review, troubleshooting reports, and researching regulations and policy. Identified individuals whose pay was cutoff due to system errors and was able to contact the Servicing Personnel Office to initiate immediate pay. Successfully reduced pay errors by 45% in 2014, through effective communication with the SPOs. Participating in end-to-end testing of the complete functionality of Direct Access 9.1/Global Pay, the U.S. Coast Guard's new pay system. Provided leadership as a Human Relations Council member in creation of the new Pay and Personnel Center Leadership and Diversity Advisory Council charter to expand the HRC by advising the PPC Commanding Officer, Executive Director and other PPC senior management on leadership and diversity management issues that impact the total PPC workforce.
