I am a senior at Purdue University studying Public Relations and Rhetorical Advocacy aspiring to become an event planner.  I have had many experiences over the past four years that have lent to my love for events.

One day I hope to be located in Washington D.C. as the event planner for the White House.  In the mean time, I hope to be planning weddings and events for a well-established events company.

Social Media

I was able to put my personal social media skills to use for Mudathlon during my summer internship.  I was head of the social media marketing campaign and ran many contests using Facebook and Twitter.  I managed to generate 2,000 new likes for the company Facebook page.

Customer Service

Through my work as the customer service representative for the Mudathlon race, I have learned how to respond to customer questions and comments through email and phone.  I have also learned how to answer customer service questions on the day of the race.

Public Speaking

I have taken many speech classes at Purdue that have advanced my skills, as well as participated in many presentations.  I received the highest grade in both of my public speaking classes.

Event Planning

Through my internships with Vision Event Management and April Foster Events, I have experienced many types of events and the planning that goes along with each (ex: wedding planning, sporting event planning)
