I began working for Brie in March of 2012 after transferring store locations. She has seen how I manage multiple schedules, between school, family, and work. She is also witness to my initiative and the passion I bring to my work.

Work History

Studied at Landmark Learning in Cullowhee, NC, November of 2007. Landmark Learning provides an accelerated EMT certification program as well as a wilderness upgrade for medical professionals (WUMP). This course was a month long intensive program, that provided hands-on learning and experience. EMT Certification has since been discontinued.

I seek to contribute my experiences in both healthcare and business to join a healthcare system that shares my passion for delivering quality service.

Volunteer/Internship Experience

In March of 2009, I traveled with D.O. Care to Guatemala. There we served thousands of patients by opening day clinics in the surrounding areas. I worked at the pharmacy, dispensing and translating prescriptions.

From September 2008 until January of 2009, I kept an internship at Oakwood Hospital. I worked there in two capacities. In the cardiac rehabilitation center, I took blood pressure (BP), tested blood glucose, monitored heart rates and input data for cardiac 2 patients. Also, I worked on the Healthy Hearts for Women project. There I helped acquire patient information as well as provide research for newsletters and patient education.

In late 2005, I spent a school break working for Katrina relief. There I did some demolition as well as community outreach. Some of the pictures I took while I was there is displayed in the video (link in the right-hand column).

My Vision

This is a video I created for a business writing class. The goal was to show how I view my future career. Much of my choice in career has to do with past experiences. In this video you will see photos from my volunteer work in Guatemala as well as Hurricane Katrina Relief. Also there are some photos of my family. Family is very important to me and they are my inspiration for healthcare. I believe this video will show how I want to act philanthropically as well as contribute to healthcare.
