In March of 2009, I traveled with D.O. Care to Guatemala. There we served thousands of patients by opening day clinics in the surrounding areas. I worked at the pharmacy, dispensing and translating prescriptions.
From September 2008 until January of 2009, I kept an internship at Oakwood Hospital. I worked there in two capacities. In the cardiac rehabilitation center, I took blood pressure (BP), tested blood glucose, monitored heart rates and input data for cardiac 2 patients. Also, I worked on the Healthy Hearts for Women project. There I helped acquire patient information as well as provide research for newsletters and patient education.
In late 2005, I spent a school break working for Katrina relief. There I did some demolition as well as community outreach. Some of the pictures I took while I was there is displayed in the video (link in the right-hand column).
