Completing required Music Therapy Internship for eligibility to sit for board certification exam. Lead and co-lead music therapy sessions for clients with developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. Create sessions plans for group and individual music therapy and recreation therapy sessions. Assess clients and implement appropriate treatment plans based on interdisciplinary team decisions. Provide treatment and training to clients to be self-motivational and independent for goal of moving to a less restrictive environment.

Co-lead music therapy sessions with 3-7 clients; use improvisational drum circle techniques with professional music therapist and another music therapy student; co-lead experiences with 3-7 clients in instrumental setting with professional music therapist and another music therapy student; complete assessment of one individual client; implement session plan.

Observe and aid in clinical setting with adults with diagnosed psychological disorders; assist in observing and creating appropriate goals and objectives for clients.

Working with campers (children and adults) to increase self-awareness and ability to complete tasks independently; increase motor skills, verbal skills, independent living skills and daily singing and instrument playing activities.

Observe music therapy sessions with a professional music therapist in a hospice setting.
