Career Bio

An accomplished, versatile professional with over 20 years progressive experience in the credit union industry, Jane has acquired a rich mix of individual, technical, and leadership competencies positioning her as a resourceful operations director. Jane’s career with the MCT Federal Credit Union began in 1986, and working her way through varying roles, landed her first supervisory role as the Senior Loan Officer in 1992. As Senior Loan Officer, Jane assisted the implementation of MCT’s first automated lending platform and customized scoring solution. In 1996, Jane was appointed to Lending Manager where continued opportunity to enhance MCT’s lending portfolio and operation included design and programming of system applications and implementing a risk based lending program. After participation in a host system conversion in 1997 and Y2K preparedness- seeing 2000 come and go without incident, Jane was solicited to lead the branch network where she facilitated the opening of 7 branches; 4 of which were in school- student run outlets. Jane played an active role in youth development initiatives by hosting internships and shadow days for MCPS students, and served on the Academy of Finance Board of Directors. In early 2007, Jane took the Director of Member Support Services position where, without precedent,  she lead the account, lending and call center operations through major transition and restructuring. Enumerable accomplishments would follow including project planning and execution of the Verint 360 - call center technology including program design for quality monitoring and assurance, and KPI scorecard development, Workforce optimization and executive reporting.  Jane also served as a critical resource at the beginning of and during the housing market decline and economic depression authoring new and revised lending policies to mitigate risk and promote responsible lending practices.  Additionally, Jane lead the revitalization of a new first mortgage program. Among Jane’s professional education credits is the completion of NAFCUs Management Development Institute and the Center for Creative Leadership- Executive Leadership Development Program. 

Jane has also enhanced her education through successful completion of Six Sigma- Total Quality Applications, Lean Six Sigma and  Project Management (PMBOK™) courses through Villanova University. 

Jane currently works for the largest credit union in the world, Navy Federal, as a risk manager focused on Operational Risk auditing and quality programs for the mortgage and equity lending and servicing organization.

Petitioned to spearhead and drive chief organizational change initiative requiring execution of contact center evolution , merger and consolidation of lending and account support areas into newly evolved structure.Lead Team of 7 direct reports including Loancenter, Mortgage, Contact Center and Operations Support Managers , Indirect Lending Director, Quality Assurance and Workforce Analysts.Indirect staff of up to 45.

Solicited by CEO to direct retail branch & contact center operation sales & service consisting of 6 direct manager reports and 75 staff. Managed Youth Development initiatives including In School Branch outlets, and Financial Advisor program. Developed first integrated, cross-departmental customer service standard program for organization.
