Oversight of the global IT Platform (100 locations worldwide), with 4000 users. Responsible for 65 permanent staff globally, Budget US $8M. Member of Senior Executive team, accountable for the IT strategic plan, IT Due Diligence for Mergers and Acquisitions, implementation of all IT strategic plans. Also responsible for the overall operations of technology within the firm including applications development, support, and training.

The technical environment is based on the Microsoft products - SQLServer, Sharepoint,Project Server, .NET

The global network is an MPLS network.

Mercer Management Consultants Canada

Principle responsible for internal systems for Mercer Canada. Significant role was that of the Project Manager responsible for team of 15, implementing Client and Financial systems in Canadian offices. Systems supported all Lines of Business across all Practice areas within the firm. Canadian implementation success resulted in the adoption for North America and ultimately became part of the global portfolio for Mercer. These systems were deployed in an Oracle environment running on HP Unix. Additional significant items were contract negotiations with Oracle and Microsoft for the software used in the deployments.



Pitney Bowes Canada Ltd.

In the role of Director was responsible for the strategy, and implementation of the technology platform as well as implementation of the business applications. Responsible for a team of 20, re-engineering Pitney Bowes business processes. Implementation of a new architecture and a new portfolio of systems. One of the first companies to deploy Symbol/MSI hand held technology for service technicians in the field.

The application suite included: Financials from MSA, Field Watch for the Service Professionals on an IBM DB2 database. The business critical application was Postage-by-phone which reset meters for companies over the phone. This architecture was base on Tandem computers.


Manager Information Resource Management

Ultramar Canada Inc.

Manager Data Resource Management.

Responsible for the database architecture and design of Ultramar's databases.

Significant project. - Implementation Manager on team responsible for integration of Gulf Canada and Ultramar Information Systems portfolios. Had responsibility for system development methodology, application design standards, database design standards, as well as the actual design and development.



DMR Canada

Consultant and Project Manager in Financial, Government, Banking, Retail, and Manufacturing sectors.

Notable projects were, the development of a Marketing and Reporting system for a multi-national Oil company, development work on a provincial government project on family benefits, and in the financial sector the precursor to Interact for credit card validation.

Managed many projects over the course of my career. Took courses in project management from the YCA group as well as other organizations. Tools used varied from Project Workbench in the 80's to Microsoft Project. Projects profiled included Business applications, technical infrastructure, to facilities projects.
