I joined the Standard Life dedicated team within Capita prior to a dividend payment, where I was fully trained within the systems and processes of the registrars. My main task was as a call handler, assisting shareholders with maintenance and administration of their accounts.
In March 2015 Standard Life went through a corporate action where a Return of Value coupled with a share
consolidation took place across the entire register. It was a fantastic challenge, it was complex and the
details needed to be concisely communicated to the shareholders. I thrive within this environment and
during this peak period handled the most calls within our department.
Since May 2015 I have taken on further administrative responsibilities including:
- The completion of confidential documents to clients, indemnities for the loss of share certificates and maintaining a daily record of regular payments taken.
- Handling calls in relation to VCT companies, assisting Investors, IFA’s and Brokers on behalf of clients within a given timescale.
- Liaising with the bank and ensuring the validity of payments and re-issuing outstanding payments in compliance with FCA regulations.
- Auditing, rejecting and supressing any amendments made to client and company accounts.
