Historical Townhome on Capitol Hill:

Worked independently on a sustainable remodeling project including an energy efficient HVAC system. From survey to design execution, prepared a complete set of construction documents and specifications; coordinated documents with contractors, and performed in-field construction administration.

Thomas Nelson Community College:

Set up CAD construction document files for a laboratory project. Tasks included drawing coordination and verification.

Bechtel / Dulles Transit Partners, LLC

Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project: Reviewed and evaluated AutoCAD resources. Developed scripts running tools, commands and routines to automate the AutoCAD environment. Evaluated and validated existing project template files. Improved user workspace configurations with custom tools adapted to the project. Revised and organized the Office CAD Standards management and deployment. Made recommendations to promote interoperability between Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD Architecture. Developed a training manual for the Office CAD Manager.

Herbert C. Hoover Building:

In compliance with GSA CAD standards, produced schematic, design and construction documentation for conversion of underground levels into office swing space, various interior areas (libraries, offices, restrooms…), building envelope (roof, terraces, etc), coordinated with engineers for integration of HVAC/MEP systems into new design layouts. Additional responsibilities included facilitating new team members’ incorporation and mentoring CAD and GSA standards. Lectured on strategies for project LEED certification.

1150 18th Street NW:

In charge of coordinating modifications; submittal sets for building permit processing and contractor bids; and appraising bidder estimates to be recorded in bid review document.

International Justice Mission:

Developed schematic through design documentation and coordinated the 3D Revit model with design modification and material/finish/color concept development.

Tasked with new floor plan layout in existing multi-family residential building.

Provided a private Association with graphic design, developed a website with Flash MX.

“SST-Planners, Inc.”, Lab/Science Building Planners

Provided laboratory programming/planning/design; produced casework drawings and laboratory related construction documentation; confirmed lab safety code and ADA compliance; built system and finish schedules for bids prior to construction; verified submittal sets; reviewed shop drawings; and performed on-site punch list completion and field verifications. Projects included existing building renovation or conversion, building addition and new construction.

Additional responsibilities included user interface customization, creating/upgrading Office CAD Standards, initiating new employees to lab design, and instructing co-workers in AutoCAD and Microstation.

Residential Building in Berlin-Friedrichshain:

On-site assistant to Project Manager during construction phase completion. Responsibilities included coordination of finish specifications, management and updating of architectural drawings in compliance with potential buyer requirements, on-site punch list completion and field verifications.

Straußberger Straße 42:

Duties included field surveying, documenting building conditions and developing record drawings. As team member, participated in all phases from schematic to construction documentation and preparation of submittal sets for building permit.

Kreuzberg Straße 8:

In charge of translating field surveys into highly detailed record drawings and documenting building conditions (structural, mechanical, etc) for this prospective acquisition.

SSM GmbH, Halle 4:

Translated plumbing and sewage layout sketches of a manufactory building into AutoCAD and worked with engineers on mechanical details, piping diagrams, and wall sections.

Hotel Garni:

Provided design and construction documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems for this new construction project. Responsibilities also included assisting engineers in designing HVAC systems; selecting equipment; calculating HVAC load; and sizing ductwork, piping, pumps & other system components.

Lincoln Straße 23:

Tasked with implementing plumbing and sewage system for a multi-story family residence, and developed piping diagrams, and drainage extrusion schemes.

Energy Efficient House, Feasibility study:

Developed schemes for rainwater harvesting and reuse in non-potable water applications.

Team member developing design documentation of the award winning competition project The Medical and Theoretical Carl Gustav Carus Center at the Dresdner University. Responsible for coordinating scaled model and project design.

Aus- und Weiterbildungszentrum der Stadtsparkasse Dresden:

Developed a material/finish/color concept for the City Hall reconverted into an Education and Training Center located in Dresden-Niedersedlitz. Responsible for presentation boards.

Team member in designing a curtain wall façade and penthouse layout for narrow mixed use building in Berlin.

Villa Margot:

Provided as-built and design documentation of a residential multi family dwelling to be rehabilitated. Tasks included field surveying, developing a detailed record catalog of material and structure condition, and producing hand-drawn renderings.
