I have always been a curious person....one of those who try the newest before anyone else. My epitaph will likely read "Her last words were, what does this button do?"
People fascinate me. Hopefully, others view me as a person with a sense of humor who appreciates the comedy in everyday life. While I try not to take myself too seriously, I do have strong convictions about helping others.
I've been fortunate to gain over 20 years of practical experience as a business professional who is ready to officially share my knowledge with others in a new career as a college educator.
On a bragging tangent: I am a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a distinction held by less than 10% of those practicing in the HR profession. I earned this when I was 25 and see it as my official induction to the craft I made a career.
I believe in lifelong education....on a continual journey to discover the world and to improve my interactions within it. My college endeavors have always been non-traditional starting with a 9-month trade school program (fabulous secretarial science), leading into evening and weekend classes for the Bachelor's degree while working full-time; followed by continued 50 hour workweeks while earning a Master's degree and then continuing with Post Graduate Coursework (yes, while working) in numerous subjects.
I am actively conducting research for my doctorate and for publication with interests spanning several disciplines but centering around employee behavior, social learning, societal norms, deviance, and online education.
