Led Emerson’s largest new product program developing 3 scroll compressor product lines for U.S. and China markets to address increased energy efficiency regulations.

·Grew sales 40% from $500 to $700 Million while reducing cost 37% and capital 50%.

·Led 111-member globally matrixed organization that included 12 functional Vice Presidents using visioning /missioning, 360 degree feedback, and stage gate project management techniques.

·Developed market specifications and engineered product in close collaboration with customers.

·Coordinated product planning and simultaneous engineering with teams in the U.S., India and China.Extensive use of reverse auctions and best cost country sourcing.

·Positioned U.S. product line at a price premium to China product line using value analysis and feature differentiation while maintaining common core components for cost leverage.

·Oversaw concurrent product launch in 4 factories (U.S., China and Thailand) and aggressive capacity ramp-up to 5 million units required to satisfy record customer demand.
