Currently, I am a Food and Nutrition major at the University of Alabama. I am in the Coordinated Program, and I plan to graduate in December of 2013.  


Short-term Goals: My short-term goals are to graduate from the University of Alabama and complete the Coordinated Program in order to become a Registered Dietitian. Before graduation, I hope to complete a month-long internship. 

Long-term Goals: My long-term goals are to graduate from the University of Alabama with a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition. Ultimately, I would like to obtain a Doctoral Degree and publish research concerning nutrition. 

Work Philosophy

My work philosophy is centered around helping and serving others. Throughout my career, I will strive to serve my patients and clients by ensuring that their nutritional needs are met. I would like to complete research in order to learn how to better the lives of others. I fully believe that a functional work place requires that professionals aid their fellow professionals to obtain successful outcomes on various projects. 


Gustolab Institute Study Abroad Program (Summer 2012)

  • Lived in Rome, Italy for six weeks
  • Participated in and passed a Critical Studies on Food and Culture class
  • Assessed differences in food culture throughout the world
  • Researched and presented observations of food culture in Italy

Honors College Shadowing Program (Spring 2012)

  • Observed Registered Dietitians at DCH Regional Medical Center 
  • Visited patients who needed nutritional care
  • Calculated caloric intakes

Community Service

Beat Auburn Beat Hunger Committee Member- Campus Partners (Fall 2012)

  • Raised awareness concerning hunger in West Alabama 
  • Encouraged campus organizations to donate money and canned goods to the West Alabama Food Bank
