QA/QC,Welding Engineer

  • Conducting PQR and Welder Qualification Tests according to ASME section IX & Project Specifications.
  • Preparing the weld history according to the NDT requirements and project specification.
  • Inspection and confirmation of welding consumables as per the specifications.
  • Monitoring the welding parameters and the heat input as per the WPS.
  • Control of Repair Welding, Review and Interpretation of Radiography films and witness of other NDT for Piping and Structural work.
  • Ensure that all inspections and tests are carried out as indicated on the appropriate Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformance.
  • Review corrective actions recommended in non-conformance reports, initiate and verify corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of non-conformity.
  • Liaise with Client staff regarding any non-compliances, complaints or areas of concern to ensure that these are handled in a timely and effective manner.

  • Request for NDT, PWHT, and PMI as per project specifications.

  • Liaise with the Clients Inspector during fabrication and installation to resolve any welding and Inspection related problems.
  • Pipe line check as per P&ID, Isometric drawings and ensuring that all installed pipe/fittings are of correct specifications in accordance with the specified material traceability requirements.

  • Stage-wise & final inspection of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, storage tanks, valves, pipes & pipe fittings, forgings and castings at vendors shop-floor / construction sites.
  • Material inspection in compliance with purchase order, Review & verification of Material test certificates (MTC) for various materials.
  • Review of Sub contractor ITP/QAP as approved by the client & stage wise inspection as per ITP.
  • Witness for NDT, DT, Hydrostatic/pneumatic tests and having the required inspection performed during such tests.
  • Performing visual and dimensional inspections to ensure that following are within tolerances specified in drawings & client specifications.
  • Monitor all inspection activities regarding equipments installations, starting from the warehouse inspection, each stage of erection and up to final documents hand-over.
  • Documentation of all inspected/witness activities, final stamping & issue of inspection release note upon acceptance of the equipment.
