The Canadian operations included 3 divisions with overall sales over US$500M. Reporting to Vice President Corporate Development.

·Initiated a restructuring of the corporation’s treasury operations and pension plans following acquisitions that resulted in savings of more than $1M annually

·Led M&A financial due diligence; Managed Post-Merger Integration in areas of treasury, real estate, post-employment benefits, pension plans. Achieved significant synergies in those areas

·Supported corporate divestitures, capital return to shareholders, stock buy-back, and going private process

·Successfully negotiated banking arrangements that resulted in treasury cost savings and lower collateral requirements

·Managed treasury operations for all Canadian divisions including cash management, forecasting, banking relationships, insurance programs, pension fund investment management (both defined benefit and defined contribution), and hedging policy
