Leading Digital Innovation solutions at Ascentium, a “think-build” initiative of this marketing and technology solutions company currently transitioning into a global interactive agency. The digital innovation group combines strategy, research, user experience design and technology solutions to help clients on the edge of transformative industry shifts capitalize on their emerging opportunities. Right now I am delivering unique web and mobile product solutions for global industry leaders in Smart Energy, Education, Entertainment, Travel and Media.

GROW

GROW combines design + strategy to help emerging startup brands in social media, mobile, travel and clean energy become more relevant in the lives of everyone they touch. Prior to Ascentium, I worked closely with the founders of several successful web startups in the communications, marketplace, reservations and media spaces. In the process, I also founded, co-founded, designed and served on the advisory board of several of these companies.

Well funded $11M+ startup delivering last mile broadband solutions in the early days of p2p media delivery. My role included product design and collaboration with high level executives in the emerging media space for both interactive consumer product offerings and new business and revenue models.

Creative Director

Instrumental in elevating this design studio/ad agency (primarily b2b) to 2X+ billings and expansion. Clients included BofA, Garage.com, Malinckrodt Pharma, Oridion, United Airlines, Auspex/Glasshouse and more. Created first of a kind digital projects for its time such as the 1st online bill pay for BofA and the 1st interactive Annual report for Auspex.

Owner/Creative Professional

RPM Design

Independent creative professional starting out as one of the youngest art directors at Grey and then CBO, led to both recognition, and a list of unique creative opportunities. Short gigs at hot shops resulting in creating notable work, including award winning stuff and even working as a movie production designer. During this time, I created everything from blockbuster movie posters to packaging, identity systems, retail environments, fabrics, merchandising, toys and more for clients like Carl’s Jr., Mattel, Toyota, Nestle, Coca Cola, Hallmark, JBL and Sony.

Summary

I believe we can create a smarter, easier and more abundant world with socially meaningful digital solutions if we just pay attention and question the status quo. I combine vision+design+strategy to imagine that better future and get people smarter and more talented than me to help realize it. For nearly two decades, I’ve had a diverse career as a creative leader in both large and agile organizations. I've been on both sides as founder and supporter, client and contractor, hands on creator and objective strategic counsel. Through it all, what I've come to realize most is that when good people come together for a great cause, nothing is impossible. My passion is to identify the next and then rally people to elevate themselves beyond their job descriptions to deliver more than what they previously thought possible.

Brand and Competitive Strategy Development

Brand development includes defining market gaps, psychograpic value based persona development with ethnographic and geographic considerations; and design sensibilities to engage and inspire users. Go to market strategy includes identifying market ecosystem participants, engaging influencers and laying a framework for hitting the tipping point for the adoption curve across both early and late adopters.  

Business and Product Concept Creation

Thinking through market gaps, identifying opportunities, coordinating research, conducting usability tests and then delivering a strategically sound digital product concept. These product concepts consist of business and revenue model, brand and go to market strategy, experience and visual design with technical considerations for both platform and architecture.
