Attorney Raymond Joseph Zuppa began his legal career by studying political science at The University of New Mexico, where he graduated with distinction in 1986. He returned to school in 1993, moving to Hempstead, New York, in order to attend Hofstra Law School. Earning outstanding grades and awards for excelling in his studies of criminal and constitutional law, Raymond Joseph Zuppa graduated third in his class and earned the Outstanding Law Student award, granted annually to the member of the graduating class who most represents the ideals of the legal profession. Raymond Joseph Zuppa then earned his license to practice in the State of New York and still remains a member of the New York State Bar Association. Raymond Joseph Zuppa moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he found employment as Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. In this role, Raymond Joseph Zuppa focused his efforts in the Rackets Division, investigating and prosecuting public corruption and major organized crime. Leading Operation Gateway, Raymond Joseph Zuppa and his team used electronic eavesdropping and undercover operations to track Russian organized crime. The investigation led to over 200 arrests.Following his stint with the District Attorney’s Office, Raymond Joseph Zuppa established his own company, The Zuppa Firm PLLC. With a focus on pro bono work and a commitment to helping the poor and consumers, Raymond Joseph Zuppa has established an impressive track record with defending clients against no-fault insurers, reforming the governing bodies that protect consumer rights, and freeing a man wrongfully convicted of second degree murder charge 55 years ago. Additionally, Raymond Joseph Zuppa received a special thank you from Hofstra Law School for his financial contributions toward the clinical programs’ operating budget.
