Spearheaded project completion of a failing $6 million financial accounting system implementation with zero major production issues, generating high level of satisfaction from $10 billion client and instant recovery of millions of dollars of lost revenue while attending evening MBA program.

Delivered complex, difficult project with significant data conversions and organizational change management.  It was client’s 1st major system implementation in 10+ years.  

Tackled fractured relationship and performance issues with vendor’s senior executive team. Re-established relationship on a partnership level.

Developed project productivity tools, overall test plans, implementation plan, and participated in the design, implementation, and support of the infrastructure (hardware/software)  environments, and detailed the infrastructure services to support the system.  Developed and published application security guidelines, processes, and end user training guide.  Ensured that project met corporate audit guidelines.

Re-designed and simplified corporate policies & procedures on a separate engagement.

Performed business research/analysis and scorecard measurement on re-deployment of military unit to reduce operations cost.

Strengthened the company’s brand and membership enrollment base through the development of business intelligence and performance metric reports for Marketing Department. 

Produced business process diagram to indicate flow of data sources.

Spearheaded development of  several complex health care management reports through Business Intelligence tool for NCQA compliance audit and assessment of health plan performance on chronic diseases. Data included ICD-9-CM diagnosis and HEDIS codes.

Seized leadership of Data Warehousing project 2 years late in delivery, reaching on-time performance despite severe resource constraints.  Avoided possible regulatory compliance issues by bringing in QNXT data into the atomic layer of DW database.

Propelled delivery of pay-for-performance software program 1 month ahead of scheduled deployment. Program gave incentives to providers to deliver quality care. 

2003 - 2004

Achieved 400% ROI and $10 million annual costs savings through leadership on projects that included customized plant optimization modeling tool, gas/electric meter collection and reporting OLAP data warehouse system, plant performance tool, and automation of 2 control areas. Successfully completed largest development project in company history.

Led development team and developed functional requirements, GUI,  and database design for custom built business intelligence tool that generated daily variance reports for gas/meter readings.  Generated process flow diagrams.   Tool decreased response time to fix inaccurate readings and saved $2 million annually.

Handled IT Sarbanes-Oxley compliance issues and communications with Public Utility Commission (PUC). 

Elevated organization’s efficiency and productivity through introduction of new project management processes. Performed case development, project engineering, business analysis, test script developing, and functional and technical requirements gathering.

Earned internal and industry-wide nominations on 3 projects for IT Innovative and Business Intelligence awards, including the following recognitions and citations:
