Raymond M Campos is a visionary marketing and communications leader with over twenty years of global experience launching, building and managing successful brands in a variety of industries.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Ray was Vice President and Investor Relations Officer at Banco de Credito del Peru, one of the oldest and most successful independent banks in Latin America. While at BCP, he was an active member of various executive-level committees responsible for strategic planning, corporate communications and corporate governance issues.
Working directly with the CEO, Ray launched and led the award-winning investor relations program for BCP’s New York Stock Exchange listed holding company, Credicorp Ltd. (NYSE:BAP) achieving “Best in Class” recognition from IR Magazine. At this time, Ray was responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate communications including brand development, marketing, public relations, and financial communications. In terms of PR and Media, his efforts achieved unprecedented levels of high-quality international brand awareness.
While at BCP, Ray was also instrumental in leading a wide range of corporate communications projects including: internal communications and high-level consensus building; the definition and socialization of a new mission-centric brand identity; the production and delivery of on-time and on-budget corporate annual shareholder reports; and the development of an award-winning corporate website.
As a consultant, Ray has worked in multiple marketing and brand management roles and has experience in such diverse areas as Agro-Foods, Biotechnology, Clean & Renewable Energy, Consumer Retail, Hospitality Management, Broadcast Media, Fundraising, Banking and Investment Management.
In addition to his experience at Banco de Credito del Peru, Ray has worked at an executive level in large multinational financial institutions like ABN-Amro, Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley.
Ray is a marketing and communications thought-leader and a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences. He earned a B.A. in Communications from Pepperdine University, and has completed extensive graduate-level studies related to Brand Management and Strategic Communications.
A native Californian, Ray has lived and worked extensively in Europe and Latin America, and is fluent in Spanish.
Ray is currently living in Madrid, Spain.
