As he pursues an MBA at Belmont University, Raymond James Ufford balances his schedule with a role as development manager and liaison at Med-Assist Doctors Group in Albertville, Alabama. He represents the firm in interactions with physicians and clinics, ranging in focus from pediatric practices to occupational medicine providers, throughout Northern Alabama. During his tenure with the company, Raymond James Ufford has negotiated partnerships with such health-care organizations as Northeastern Orthopedic and Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Away from the office, Raymond Ufford maintains a variety of talents and interests. He enjoys playing the guitar, and his favorite instrument is the bajo sexto, the strings of which achieve percussion-like sounds in combination with the melody. He has performed with various ensembles on the four- and five-string bass guitar, as well. In addition to music, he likes to read fiction and nonfiction, and authors that have influenced him include Erin Morgenstern and Friedrich von Hayek. An avid traveler, he has visited Russia, Sweden, and Mexico.
