Commercial property developer Raymond Arjmand continues to enjoy a successful career as the owner of several malls throughout the United States, including ones in Wichita, Kansas; Bismarck, North Dakota; and several in California. Raised in the Greater Los Angeles area, Arjmand brings a driven and honest approach to every project he undertakes. Raymond Arjmand also remains actively involved in the communities in which he owns shopping centers; he participates in organizations such as the Woodland Chamber of Commerce, Sacramento Metro Chamber, and the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce. Raymond Arjmand credits much of his success to his ability to utilize demographic and retail information to select prime development locations. He understands that retail site selection remains heavily dependent on analyzing trends and recognizing on which aspect of the deal a given project hinges. Whether working with open-air malls, enclosed structures, or mixed-use properties, Arjmand seeks to maximize value by reducing common area maintenance costs, implementing measures that cut down on energy usage, and identifying ways to lower capital expenditures. In addition, he knows the value of strategic compromise when working with property owners and tenants. After completing his undergraduate studies at California State University, Northridge, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Raymond Arjmand embarked on his career with a position as a building and zoning consultant. In this capacity, he reviewed building design and ensured zone compliance, among other duties. For over 20 years, Raymond Arjmand owned and supervised large planning and consulting engineering firms, in which he provided complete municipal services. He was responsible for entitlements, variances, permits, and other issues surrounding land use and planning. When not working, Raymond Arjmand enjoys staying in shape by running, swimming, and exercising at the gym.
