A Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine, Dr. Ravi Tolwani has held a variety of positions that combine his experience in the diverse fields of veterinary science, business, and academia. Most recently, he served as Associate Vice President for The Rockefeller University, a private biomedical research institution in New York City. His responsibilities included overseeing three scientific research departments as well as several profit-loss centers. He leads the institution’s Comparative Bioscience Center overseeing 120 professionals and specialists. Dr. Ravi Tolwani currently serves as an Associate Editor for Comparative Medicine and as an Ad Hoc Consultant for the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International. Dr. Ravi Tolwani began laying the foundations for his career at Auburn University, where he earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He obtained a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he earned a PhD. In 2005, he continued his education as a Sloan Fellow with the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and graduated with a Master of Science in Business Management.An active contributor to his field, Dr. Ravi Tolwani has penned articles appearing in a wide range of peer-reviewed journals. These include the Journal of American Association of Laboratory Animal Science, Comparative Medicine, the Journal of Neuroscience Research, the Journal of Comparative Neurology, and Contemporary Topics in Laboratory Animal Science. When not fulfilling his professional responsibilities, Dr. Ravi Tolwani enjoys spending time outdoors and participating in activities such as hiking and running. He took part in the San Francisco Marathon.
