With more than 25 years of electrical engineering experience, Rashpal Singh Brar maintains proficiency in a number of software programs created to aid in the design and analysis of electrical power systems, including software suits by ETAP and CYME International T&D. He also possesses skills in Primavera and the Microsoft suite. Rashpal Singh Brar holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from India-based Punjab Engineering College, since renamed the PEC University of Technology at Chandigarh. Certified in the State of California as an Engineer-in-Training, Mr. Brar is also registered as a Professional Electrical Engineer. Rashpal Singh Brar began his career in 1986, working for a municipal utility in California as an Assistant Electrical Engineer. Mr. Brar received a promotion to the role of Associate Electrical Engineer at the utility, where he designed underground lines and substructures, as well as overhead lines. After less than a year in this position, his hard work and dedication earned him another promotion, this time to the rank of Electrical Engineer. Mr. Brar served the utility in this capacity for nearly a decade, overseeing all aspects of electrical substation projects, including their planning, construction, daily operation, and repair. In 1998, Mr. Brar accepted a senior electrical engineering position at a different municipal utility company, where he performed many of the same essential duties. He spent nearly seven years in this position before relocating to India to accept the role of Consulting Engineer and Project Manager for a shipyard located in the state of Gujarat. In this position, he oversaw the protection and relaying of electrical systems; assessed contract bids for the construction and design of electrical substations; and served as a liaison between shipyard personnel and contractors, vendors, and consultants. His duties also included the planning and completion of electrical substation projects.
