 ♦ Oversee delivery of over 300 new and existing programs each year in areas such as Adult and Youth Sports, Leisure & Wellness, Aquatics, Day Camps & After School Programs, Special Events, and 50 Plus Activities, resulting in over 30% increase in participation. ♦ Plan, prepare and monitor program and facility operating budgets of up to $1. 1 million in Recreation, Public Transportation and All 4 Fun Family Entertainment Center divisions. ♦ Responsible for supervising 10 classified staff positions and 75-100 part-time/seasonal employees in a variety of program and facility settings, including a community recreation center with gym, wellness center & indoor pool; two athletic field complexes, gymnastics/cheer center, ceramics studio, municipal swimming pool and family entertainment center. ♦ Managed daily operations in Public Transportation program, including scheduling of two drivers, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and taking an active role in KDOT pilot project for expanding public transit in Dodge City/Ford County and surrounding region. ♦ Served as interim manager of  Dodge City Civic Center during 18 month transition period, working with assigned building staff to coordinate daily operations and provide improved service delivery for events and activities scheduled at facility. ♦ Coordinate facility scheduling with schools, outside sponsors and other service providers for use of recreation center as well as baseball/softball/soccer complexes and stadium. ♦ Provide leadership to enhance marketing and promotion of department, including expansion of website, revamping activity brochures, and use of social media sites and e- technology to improve communications and better serve patrons. ♦ Developed facility operation, staffing and marketing plans for All 4 Fun Family Entertainment Center, including recruitment, hiring and training of manager, supervisors, customer service attendants and maintenance personnel.

DIRECTOR Coffeyville, KS ♦ Responsible for administering a broad program of recreation services and activities to serve the needs and interests of patrons in a district of 15, 000 residents. ♦ Supervised the operation of a recreation center, roller skating activities center, two ball field complexes, and a large municipal swimming pool. ♦ Recruited, selected and trained recreation personnel, including four full-time staff members and numerous part-time and seasonal workers. ♦ Established, implemented, and interpreted general policies and procedures for all operations. ♦ Prepared and justified an annual budget and directed the expenditures of agency funds. ♦ Other important duties included making recommendations and reports on activities and facilities, public relations, program and personnel evaluations, and maintaining cooperative planning and working relationships with the City and other local agencies.

 ♦ Exercised overall supervision of paid and volunteer part-time and seasonal staff.

♦ Additional duties included budget preparation and allocation, public relations, program evaluation and documentation, and coordination of cooperative efforts with other area service providers.
