Senior Systems Engineer
·Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
·Establishes system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure.
·Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures.
·Work with other teams and decision makers to define business requirements and company’s goals and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
·Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
·Initiate preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system/environment problems
·Evaluate and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing infrastructure.
·Integrate servers, including database, exchange, print and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
·Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
·Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
·May act as an internal consultant providing work direction and technical guidance to others
·Mentor less experienced engineers to assure their knowledge and skills provides them the experience they need to complete assigned projects independently, efficiently, and safely
·Participate in setting budgeting and estimate resource needs and usage.
