Livingstone Partners, Director, Madrid Office. International M&A. Potential Partner prospect of the Madrid Office. My responsibilities are to obtain and lead deals in the following economic sectors: Education, Construction, Healthcare & Cosmetics, Transport & logistics, Food & Beverage and Retail. I closed two deals in the Construction sector, the first was advising Europea del Gas which was acquired by Grupo Arredondo and the second was advising Andamios In at the capital raising process implemented by Baring Private Equity. The third deal closed was advising Grupo NACE, (partially owned by Baring Private Equity), to acquire AreteiaSchool. Furthermore, two additional deals are next to be closed in the coming month, one in the Educative sector and the second in the Retail business. Both due diligence processes are finished. My open mandates are three capital raising process in the Retail & Cosmetic sectors. Furthermore, I am finishing the negotiation process to obtain the mandates of three additional deals, one in the food and beverage sector, (250 m€ in revenues in 2008), the second in the conformity & inspection services, (150 m€ in revenues in 2008) and the third in the IT Business, (20 m€ in revenues in 2008). I have a transportable client base.

ADIA Corporate, Partner, Madrid. M&A boutique. I was in charge of obtaining and executing M&A mandates in small and medium cap companies. Due to Adia’s small structure, I was often involved in the valuation models and business plan presentations. We closed four operations. The first one was advising Applus (quality certification to buy Cayacea, owned by 3i) the second was advising Clesa in the sale of a milk collection & treatment plant in France to Onetik; and the third one was advising Uldesa, (plastic injected products) to be sold to Premier Capital; and the last one was advising Panorama, (digital print), in the capital raising process with SES Iberian PE.

My responsibilities were the valuation analysis, financial engineering and exit strategies of the potential candidates and the existing portfolio. I had specific responsibility in the following projects: in the retail sector, the development of OfficeNet, OfficeShop, and OfficeMax Brazil; in the food and beverage sector (Laso s.a., cereal manufacturer), in the private security sector (Instalarme Brazil, Logotech) and in the special materials sector (Perfiltra, Aluar Elaborados, Corning Glass USA). Besides, I was in charge of the financial controlling of half of the BISA’s portfolio and the issue of the respective managerial reports for the investment Committee.
