Summary

Information security expert and mathematician with some software development skills, hands-on experience from data center work and fascinated by cryptographic protocols, information security challenges, and also data analysis.

I have 12 years of experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration and a range of practical network monitoring & troubleshooting and information security skills. I am also excellent at writing elaborate UNIX scripts.

All this is complemented with a passion for discovery and writing (see leisure activities), modelling and abstraction skill, some understanding of project work, a curious and investigative mind, attention to detail as would be expected from a mathematician, and an urge create something new and useful and to work in teams.

I also acknowledge the ever important human element in information systems security.
