Information security expert and mathematician with software development skills, hands-on experience from data center work and fascinated by cryptographic protocols, information security challenges, and also time series and data analysis.

I am also an experienced (12 years) and skilled UNIX/Linux systems administrator with a range of practical network monitoring & troubleshooting and information security skills. I am excellent at writing elaborate UNIX scripts. I have creative problem solving skills and a strategic approach at information technology challenges, all of which were perused in my previous work.

All this is complemented with a passion for discovery and writing (see leisure activities), modelling and abstraction skill, understanding of project work, a curious and investigative albeit sometimes also suspecting mind, attention to detail as would be expected from a mathematician, and an urge create something new and useful and to work in teams.

I also acknowledge the ever important human element in information systems security.
