  • Led the design, development and operations of TV Guide iPhone, iPad and Android apps. The TVGuide apps.  was one of the early successful apps on app store with over 5 million downloads. Ranking number 1 in iPad apps and consistently in top 25 in iPhone and Android apps. 
  • The back-end stack was Java , AWS SimpleDB , MySql and SqlServer deployed and operated in AWS
  • Developed iOS app and cloud platform mlocal , for distribution of classifieds and news. Licensed and eventually sold to LANG (Los Angels Newspaper Group). LANG used  mlocal for all their news and classifieds apps.

Responsible for product development and strategy for apigee's Web Service appliance in the mobile and SAAS space. Evaluated business opportunities and prioritized product road map. Worked as key part of sales cycle by supporting sales, as well as field and development teams.

  • Achieved first penetration of mobile media and entertainment market by developing apigee solutions for this space. Resulted in winning MTV and Warner Music as customer.
  • Solved content transformation and advertisement insertion challenges for online music provider.

  • Led the architecture, design and integration effort of Sprint Nextel’s next generation mobile digital multimedia platform. The platform provides Sprint the ability to provide games, video, music and other digital content to its customers. The platform consist of mobile store front, web store, SMS purchase, DRM, content on boarding, pricing and promotion, multiple payment methods, 3rd party billing, partner revenue share and integration with legacy OSS/BSS systems and network. Integrated various COTS packages from Vendors including IBM, Qualcomm, QPASS, Verisign and Amdocs as part of the solution.
  • Developed RFPs for core IMS components: HSS, GUP Server, Policy Engine, and Resource.

Lead various projects during Vongae's period of massive growth and attempt to disrupt the telco's.

  • Lead a swat team to build a 911 solution to avoid government shutdown.
  • Spearheaded the effort to identify the limitations of the current Vonage systems and proposed a new architecture to continue Vonage’s market dominance in the IP communication space
  • Conceptualized and developed prototypes of new products to leverage Vonage’s platform and marrying presence, and Web2.0 capabilities.

LEAPSTONE SYSTEMS (Currently owned by MOTOROLA); Somerset, NJ (2001– 2004)

Member of initial core team in Leapstone involved in the requirements, architecture, design and implementation of a carrier-grade mobile Content Management System and ‘Service Delivery Platform (SDP)’ from initial concept to production deployment.

  • Designed and implemented pricing, promotions, rating and revenue share modules for Leapstone’s mobile content management system for wireless carriers.
  • Designed and developed a real time, in-memory Subscriber Service Database (SSDB) for Leapstone’s Call Control module, scaled to store up to 5 million subscribers.
  • Designed and led a team to implement Fault Management, Performance measurements, Audit and debugging of SDP and content Management products. The Fault Management was based on ITU X.733 standards
  • Designed provision adaptor for Leapstone’s SDP to integrate with IBM MQSeries based workflow..
  • Managed offshore development team to develop SNMP adaptors.

Co-Founder of Think Business Networks (TBN), a telecom software consulting house with development centers in California and Chennai/Coimbatore, India.
