An experienced cardiologist, Dr. Nalini Rajamannan attended the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. Four years later, Dr. Rajamannan earned her Doctor of Medicine from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Rajamannan then entered into a residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, where she focused on internal medicine, prevention, treatment, and diagnosis of adult diseases. After becoming board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Rajamannan served in the General Internal Medicine department at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, for a year before transferring to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. Dr. Rajamannan received further training at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, earning a cardiovascular training grant. Dr. Rajamannan completed a cardiovascular fellowship at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education and served as a Cardiology Fellow at the Mayo Clinic, an NIH Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, and as a Cardiovascular Clinic Fellow at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education. In addition, Dr. Rajamannan functioned in the cardiovascular medicine divisions at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Minnesota and Franciscan Skemp Healthcare in Wisconsin for two years. In 2000, Dr. Rajamannan relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she utilized her cardiovascular expertise at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lakeside and at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Recently, Dr. Rajamannan returned to Wisconsin where she continues to function in the cardiovascular medicine departments at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, as well as at St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay. In addition to her many hospital appointments, Dr. Rajamannan has fulfilled several teaching roles. At the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, Dr. Rajamannan served as an Assistant Professor for seven years before becoming an Associate Professor. In her capacity at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Rajamannan holds a joint position in the Department of Pathology. Dr. Rajamannan also acts as a Visiting Scientist at the Mayo Clinic in the Departments of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Possessing diverse talents, Dr. Rajamannan has held various administrative positions, functioning as Lab Director in the Echocardiography Lab at Lakeside Veterans Administration Hospital and as Valve Director at the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute at Northwestern University. Dr. Rajamannan maintains membership in the American Medical Association and the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.
