Programme Officer

Working under Programme Director in providing technical support with managing and monitoring the portfolio of support agreements in the forest certification programme. Also responsible in assisting in market links, coordination and reporting. Part of the job descriptions are:

  • Ensure that TBI procedures and protocols are understood by all team members;
  • Keep track of the short-list of forest concessions that apply for TBI support, The PO revise all corresponding documents (factsheets, company motivation letters, memorandum of feasibility, integrity statements) before presenting them for review to the PD;
  • Communicate which applications have been approved by the board, and assists with the preparation of the support agreements and the signing event;
  • Receive all requests for authorisation of work proposals or invoices as related to the support agreements, and revise these before submitting them for endorsement. Follow by database system archiving;
  • Receive and revise the monthly progress updates;
  • Receive and revise the quarterly estimates of cash flow needed for the forest certification programme;
  • Assist with the production of overview reports, e.g. an overview per group of the status of certification; a quarterly cash-flow forecast; an overview of the financial contributions of third-party organisations and the forest concessions themselves;
  • Assist with the coordination of studies to improve our understanding of the operational context, methodologies, or impact;
  • Assist with data compilation and reporting on progress and impact of the forest certification programme (six-monthly donor reports)
  • Assist with other organisational duties as required, e.g. monthly reporting, performance assessments, coordination with partner organisations, presentations in events, etc.
