As a prep cook it was my duty to work at the salad station. I plated dishes in an artistic manner. In a world where social network is a big deal, it was important for me to set up these plates to be visually pleasing to the customers. I also did prep work such as cutting vegetables and meats. I also did worked as a line cook during brunch on the weekends.
- Drastically improved cutting skills. improved awareness working under pressure and sending out food in a timely fashion.
- A brand new knife set was given to me from a friend of mine who previously worked at the Providence Social as an award for moving up from a dishwasher to a prep cook.
- Improved knowledge on food prep. I also gained a lot of experience cooking on a flat top grill and learning temps on things such as eggs and burgers.
