I directed two musical productions, the Rocky Horror Picture Show and RENT, as a student at the University of Connecticut.  Rocky Horror Picture Show was the highest-grossing production of our organization, and RENT was a major success as well.  For both productions, I was responsible for casting, leading rehearsals, finding tech assistants and communications with the University and other organizations.  I performed in both shows along with the casts.

Educational Technology

I have been the technology leader at my current school for the last two years, but even before then, I was using technology as a means to scaffold and differentiate instruction, as well as engage students of all different ability levels.  This year, I run an after-school incentive program where I assist students in danger of failing with the recording of original songs in GarageBand in exchange for their staying after-school for extra help.  I am familiar with Microsoft and Mac platforms, and have a great deal of experience with mobile computing devices, particularly iOS devices.  I am extremely capable of integrating technology in my classroom and always seek to increase my familiarity with educational software, online tools and educational apps.

Improvisational Comedy

I have performed as an improvisational comedian since my undergraduate years.  I have taken numerous courses, including a course from the famed Upright Citizens Brigade.  I prefer long form improv, but had experience with short form as a college student.  This experience allows me to inject creativity and passion into the planning and execution of my lesson plans, and has increased my ability to adapt to any situation and think quickly on my feet.
