Network Operations Manager Kentucky International Convention Center and Expo Center, Louisville, KY (2010-Present)
•Supervise a team of up to 6 personnel, including their hiring, training, performance review, scheduling and compensation. Assist General Manager with multiple tasks including ensuring that network is current and effective to meet the needs of our customer base for events.
Assist Customer Service and Sales Representative teams on variety of technical tasks: liaison between these personnel and our clients to resolve client issues. Coordinate preventative maintenance for the entire network. In 2011 assisted in securing a 7-year contract with 3 1-year options. Panned and assisted in the upgrading of two Facilities in Kentucky, one 1.3 Million Square feet, and the other 900 Square Feet.
General Manager, Telecommunications and Networking, Oregon Convention Center, Portland, OR (2007-2010)
• Direct responsibility for providing quality telecommunications, internet and networking services for contracted events for the Oregon Convention Center. Manage marketing and sales functions of each event, manage technical and troubleshooting in order to provide the best solutions to event productions. Coordinate with the Tech Lead on daily operations. • Follow up with show administrative clients and exhibitors throughout each event to ensure quality control. Create annual budgets and update forecasts monthly. Report monthly to corporate headquarters on daily operations. Indirect supervisory responsibilities.
Lead Network / Computer Technician, Kentucky International Convention Center and Expo Center, Louisville, KY (2005-2007)
• Supervised the activities of two personnel, providing input into their hiring and performance review. Communicated with administrative staff and exhibitors to ensure quality and professionalism of each event. • During tenure, designed, installed and deconstructed data and telecommunication networks for specific events. Instructed technicians on proper installations and testing procedures. Position utilized wide array of customer service, operations, quality control and troubleshooting skills and aptitudes.
