Managing Poetry in Wood and other's social media and digital presence (digital public relations) on a freelance basis, Presently communication managing The Edith Cavell Festival which will be on in Swardeston (South Norfolk) in  Autumn 2015.  Recently I completed a YouTube channel for a semi-permanent make up artist using my video production skills, as well as managing the construction of and maintaining her dedicated website (www.vanessamakeup.co.uk), which is enabled across platforms (including mobile).

I advise on branding and digital presence including Twitter, Facebook pages, Instagram feed, and so on and devise communications and public relations strategy as per client's needs.  I also provide bespoke written content to the highest standard as a full member of The Society of Authors.  

In my spare time I am writing a novel and polishing a screen play I have written.

In this period I relocated back to Norwich where I grew up and worked on a temporary basis as a teacher in a number of local schools and tutor for looked after children and others as I sought to reposition myself as a communications professional having worked in education for some years.

I volunteered at The Tuckswood Fair where I lead a participatory digital mural project in the summer of 2013 and lead a workshop with pupils for this local primary school.

  1. Provided special training to people who have learning difficulties in Social and Digital Media enabling their full participation. 
  2. Showed work based on these projects at the Southwark Arts Forum open exhibition in 2012 and at The Norwich Playhouse in February 2013

Contributed to the staff team at an exciting time when the school was completely rebuilt

  1. I made recommendations for a digital approach for the school and learners that have since been taken up by management (the school was recently rated as 'outstanding' by Ofsted
  2. Made an award winning video with students about sustainability
  3. Co-created a bespoke social network with students to promote student voice
  4. Worked with a local museum to create a moving image media arts project 
  5. Created a blog to document the school’s journey towards sustainability

Provided script reading and editorial services as well as production assistance on a number of feature films through a dedicated producer on a freelance basis.  Branded and launched a video label in conjunction with a designer at Lambie Nairn.  

At this time I also wrote a co-wrote and edited the book 'Talking Pictures:  Interviews with Contemporary British Film-makers' which was published by The British Film Institute as well a providing short pieces for a range of magazines and web sites including open democracy.

Took 100 and 999 calls on the BTOS platform.  During this period I made a short documentary about my work mates for Anglia Television's 'First Take' series called 'Telephonists'.  This piece won me a place at The London College of Communication to study film and video.
