John Sorenson

Program Director

National Student Leadership Conference

Dear Mr. Sorenson,

I am writing in response to the internship program for the National Student Leadership Conference for Entrepreneurship and Leadership. Although I have yet received my business degree, I am in the beginning stages of doing so, while I attend Queens University of Charlotte, and finish my first year. In addition to getting deeper into my business major, I also have a vibrant history of business role playing and test-taking skills by being involved with DECA, a business club for marketing students, throughout high school.

Noticing the various requirements and qualifications for the intern position, I believe I could become an asset to the program. Through being an Orientation Leader on my college campus for incoming freshman, I will be able to help students feel welcome and have a great time meeting new people, and learning new things. I am also a Peer Leader, which is a sophomore that helps freshman transition into college by helping them study for tests, and shaping an environment where they are able to ask questions. With my Peer Leader background, I will be able to be the medium that helps students understand what the administration, professors, and TA’s have in store during the NSLC program.

I look forward to discussing the position with you, and I’d be happy to supply strong references at your request.
