Specialize in positioning small businesses in emerging markets and leadership coaching. Experienced across many industries, including medical, publishing, and educational. Accomplishments on behalf of clients include:

  • Wrote business plan, supervised renovation, created marketing plan, and assisted in launching a tourist restaurant and night club in St. Lucia
  • Ghost wrote a successfully published book which contributed to global recognition and personal branding for the author
  • Expanded a career training program, hiring and training staff, and successfully promoting the program through community and industry affiliations
  • Developed curriculum and assisted in the accreditation process for a six month professional training program
  • Designed and taught professional trainings including Marketing Your Small Business, Workplace Wisdom, Inspired Leadership, and Meeting the World with Presence

Trained and consulted for organizations and individuals supporting children with special needs. Provided weekend retreats, written materials, parenting workshops, and online and tele-courses.
  • Designed, wrote content for, and promoted website which sustained an average of 1200 visits monthly with an average visit time of more than five minutes

The Tufts Club / Tufts University

Provided leadership, fiscal management, and administrative direction for start-up 501(C)3, including membership development, strategic planning, marketing and sales, communications, public relations, and effective board and community relations. Manged three professional staff and twenty telemarketers.

  • Created distinct brand identity and promotional campaign which helped eliminate confusion with University and Alumni projects rapidly increasing sales by 69%
  • Initiated member satisfaction program, including negotiating affiliate and vendor relationships to increase member benefits, resulting in an overall 89% membership retention rate
  • Carefully planned, promoted, and executed an aggressive calendar of large (200+) and smaller recurring events gaining a reputation for successful and well attended activities allowing for additional club income, confident financial planning, and increased member satisfaction
  • Forged relationships with critical stakeholders including high profile community partners and board members generating consistently high club usage and a stable financial foundation

Assistant Director

Boston University Office of Annual Giving

Responsible for $1.4 million direct marketing fundraising program to increase alumni loyalty and charitable donations, including effectively coordinating telemarketing and direct mail efforts for both annual giving and capital campaign. Wrote and edited direct mail copy, created and executed fulfillment programs, and analyzed statistics to devise new strategies. Managed two professional staff and 150 telemarketers.

  • Appointed liaison to information systems department to develop marketing database
  • Conceived and Initiated "personal note" campaign resulting in higher Telefund pledge fulfillment
  • Conceived and implemented "class notes" initiative resulting in higher Annual Fund response rates

Project Administrator (1984)

Responsible for $1.1 million telemarketing program including managing 100+ callers, writing scripts and fulfillment mailings, creating and implementing caller training and incentive programs, supervising generation of list data and producing collateral materials.

  • Completely redesigned caller training program, wrote training manual, trained trainers and supervised successful ongoing implementation resulting in better employee retention and improvement across all statistical benchmarks for program effectiveness
  • Invited by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education to write White Paper on "Motivating Telephone Fundraisers"

Marist College

Accepted to innovative three-year interdisciplinary honors program "The Science of Man". Based on critical inquiry in philosophy, systems theory, science, and arts, students are taught to question the nature of man and engage in creative thinking about humanity and how our problems can be solved.
