Jay Butan, DVM, first cultivated his abilities as a student at Cornell University and Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Mr. Butan began work at the Professional Veterinary Hospitals of America, Inc., where he served as a Hospital Director and Chief of Staff. In 1989, Jay Butan, DVM, opened Canal Animal Hospital. He has also contributed his services since 1994 as a Clinical Investigator for FDA studies involving several pharmaceutical companies.
