While attending EKU, I was the first female stadium announcer for a college football team.

My work with teachers association has provided opportunities to gain experience as a membership recruiter.  I have been very successful in my efforts to help grow the orgainzation.
My dissertation topic was on the First Amendment and how it applies to public school teachers.  I have given presentations and professional development workshops on this subject.    I am an adjunct professor at the collegiate level and have problem differentiating betwee being an early primary educator and college professor.  As an early primary educator, the learning mode is more hands on and interactive whereas the collegiate learning is more presentation style while engaging powerpoints.
I am am early primary educator.  I have had the benefit of teaching in several schools, in different geographical areas of the county.  I am an adjunct professor at Ottawa University.
Lobbying/Grass roots
As a result of my work in politics, I was ask to serve as a lobbyist for the Jefferson County Teachers Association during a previous legislative session.  While serving in this capacity, I was able to work with legislators on "both side of the aisle" to garner the support needed to pass legislation pertaining to education.  I have experience in many aspects of the political arena, from fundraising and membership to knocking on doors and campaigning.  I remain involved with both the local education association and the state education assoiciation.  I have many active political contacts, at the local, state and national level.

My  interests are in all aspects of education, from early emergent learners to non-traditional learners.  I am a life long learner, as being a classroom teacher affords me that opportunity.  My dissertation was on the First Amendment and how it applies to public school teachers.  Also, I am fascinated by politics and have merged my two passions, education and politics, on many occasions.

To work for an organization that will recognize and utilize my educational exeprtise and political experience, whether in the public or private sector, and that will allow for personal growth and leadership opportunities.
