Painter/Job Site Manager

I worked to paint the exterior of homes throughout the suburbs of Chicago. Towards the end of the summer, I worked as the Job Site Manager. My responsibilities included speaking with the homeowner about their vision and directing the other painters.

The Village of Glen Ellyn

I worked to prepare a grant application for the Village of Glen Ellyn to help improve drainage and the quality of life within an low income area of Glen Ellyn. The grant was funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity through a Community Development Block Grant as apart of the IKE-PI program.

I am currently studying Economics and History and DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. DePauw is a small liberal arts college that focuses on teaching its students to think and learn in any situation.

I am very comfortable with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Through my various courses, I have learned how to apply these tools to better present material. 

History

I am currently pursuing a History Major at DePauw with a focus on American History. Through my history classes I have learned to think critically and write clearly. History has taught me how to gather evidence and draw conclusions in a clear and precise way.

Economics

I began studying economic in High School and have continued my studies into college. I have take introductory macroeconomics and microeconomics, intermediate microeconomics and financial accountings. Through these classes I have learned how different businesses operate and maximize profits. I have also developed basic accounting skills, such as the preparation of balance sheets, income states and statements of cash flows.
