Kuehne + Nagel, Inc. recruited me from Michigan State University's Supply Chain Management program upon graduation into their Fast Track Rotational Management Trainee Program.

Business Development Specialist| Jan 2009 - Aug 2009

·Developed a standardized customer transition & integration (CTI) process and toolkit for starting up small to mid-sized accounts, which benefits new clients as well as the entire US contract logistics business unit.

·Created sales presentations that were used by the entire contract logistics business unit to win new business.

·Created and compiled a database of current customers segmented by vertical with all the services we perform for them.

·Developed target customer lists, by vertical and company revenues, to support developing a new growth strategy.

·Analyzed and developed new processes to reduce cost, “go green” and increase productivity of the Sea/Air agents.

·Coordinated shipments in all of the business units (Air Export, Air Import, Ocean Export, and Ocean Import).

·Prepared RFPs/RFQs and quoted spot shipments

·Reviewed FSL (File Sub Ledger) to ensure shipment files were profitable.

Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Manager| Aug 2007 - May 2008

·Acted as a warehouse supervisor/operations manager by directing the union associates & temporary employees, managing the building & equipment maintenance tribulations, coordinating with contractors and handling all IT issues.

·Acted as IT local “super-user” by converting WMS reports into Excel reports to analyze inventory variances for customers.

·Produced on average an additional $10K in monthly revenue by managing all production jobs.

·Headed the startup of 3 new accounts.Worked with logistical engineers to set up the pick/pack areas and inventory locations.Trained associates on the new SOPs and details of the inventory to ensure maximum productivity.

·Coordinated a key account’s activities to ensure business continuity, which in turn kept 80,000 ft² of idle space filled.

Almond Products, Inc. is a finishing service provider to the appliance, automotive, furniture, military and telecommunication industries. Finishing processes include powder coatings, liquid coatings, anodizing, alodine, and phosphate conversion coatings and fuel resistant coatings.

I had two serperate contract assignments with Almond Products, Inc. Here I gained extensive knowledge in manufacturing management, logisitics, negotiations, and best sourcing practices.

· Assisted in preparing pro forma financial statements, bank covenant / ratio calculations, and commercial banking meetings.

· Initiated cost accounting procedures in an attempt to assign costs to each of the production systems.

· Sourced contractors to begin the initial phases of an $11+ million expansion.

· Evaluated and presented the cost and strategic impact of consolidating two facilities of the company.

· Coordinated the manufacture and installation of a new piece of equipment (in-line washer).
