Timothy McGettigan is a Professor of Sociology at Colorado State University – Pueblo. In addition to composing books and articles (see CV), Dr. McGettigan is involved extensively in Internet-based electronic scholarship (see Dr. McGettigan’s blog: In addition, to serving as a professor at CSU-Pueblo, Dr. McGettigan has also taught at a number of other institutions including:

  • 2013-2018,Added to the Roster of Fulbright Specialists in the area of Science, Technology, and Society (STS) studies by the the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB).
  • In 2008, Dr. McGettigan taught for a semester at sea on The Scholar Ship
  • In 2006-2007, Dr. McGettigan served as the Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California
  • In 2002-2003, Dr. McGettigan received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach at the Centre for Social Studies in Warsaw, Poland. 

Dr. McGettigan’s most recent books include Dilemmas in Truth and Science: Inquiries in the Midst of the Science Wars (2011) and Good Science: The Pursuit of Truth and the Evolution of Reality. Dr. McGettigan’s next book is tentatively titled Star Warriors:The Scientific Appropriation of Cosmology and it will examine developments and controversies in the field of scientific cosmology.
