 Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Client interaction to understand business process, gather application requirements and frame SRS, Design Document, Product Notes.
  • Participate and provide inputs in solution design.
  •  Implement custom workflow using share point Designer 2007

  • Definition of custom site definitions, configurations and developed Team sites from existing site templates and custom site templates.
  • Development of web parts and web controls using Share Point object model.
  • Preparation and execution of test cases for all Mahindra & Mahindra Team sites and Portals and web parts.
  • Documentation of Team sites For Technical Specification, Test Logs, User info & Deployment details.
  • Creating SSRS Reports using share point default database.
  • Developers co-ordination and participate in frequent project reviews, during Build and Testing phases.
  • Facilitate UAT and application sign-off workshops.

Major Projects Undertaken : 

MConnect Portal (Mahindra & Mahindra Connect Portal).:                                   

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is a big corporate house with business over 7 sectors. For their collaboration, intranet, departmental sites they use Share Point Portal.

The objective of The Enterprise MConnect Portal is the single window to M&M's wealth of Knowledge, Expertise and Learning, is intended to act as a central repository for all employees to enable them to share their knowledge and expertise across M&M, facilitate online collaboration amongst project teams and provide a reliable scalable portal platform.

Mahindra Customer Insight (www.mahindracustomerinsight.com).:                 

Customer Insight is an Application meant for the dealers of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Initially, the application will be used for capturing information related to the prospects/customers of the Scorpio. Information will be captured from the forms that are already in use at the dealer end.

The data thus captured will be used by the Auto Sector Marketing Department to get an insight about the customer and his latent desires. The B2B platform is comprised of the following applications that work in tandem:

  • Customer Insight Moss Portal
  • SQL Server Reporting Service

Major Projects Undertaken : SSIL B2B (Shopper's Stop India Limited Business 2 Business).:                          

 The objective of the B2B initiative project is to synchronize, expedite and improve communication and collaboration between SSIL and its partners that enables them to order online and to improve the purchasing function. The solution provides various benefits like: Promoting partner self reliance, Facilitating partner interaction with SSIL, Sharing and resolving concerns and issues with partners, Execution of orders and costs, Promoting usage of global retailing standards(GS1) for data exchange with partners, Reduction in recycle time etc.  The B2B platform is comprised of the following applications that work in tandem:

  • B2B Web Application.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Intranet Application for Resource Requisition Application and HR Job Posts.:

Application was aimed at automating resource requisition through workflow at Shoppers Stop. The application contained two modules as below:

  • RRA (Resource Requisition Application (Provisioning)): Administrator will configure the entire workflow for resource requisition process. It involves configuring the approvers, escalation points and escalation time settings.
  • HR Job Post: Administrator will configure the approval hierarchy for every line manager who can create job vacancies. The HR will assign candidates for the job vacancies and update the status accordingly. The HR can close vacancy if a suitable candidate gets selected.

eProcurement and Asset Management System @ Firstsource Solutions Ltd.: Application was aimed at simulating the physical workflow of procurement process at Firstsource, automating the manual excel-based transaction capture, and maintain IT assets inventory by tracking asset creation and allocation. The application contained five modules as below - Bill of Material (BOM) Creation, BOM Approval, Procurement Process (eProcurement), STPI Clearance, and Asset Creation & Allocation.

Recruitment Portal (www.nisconindia.com) @ Niscon India Ltd.: It is a live portal on internet, which allows employers to post opening and allows job seekers to maintain their profiles and apply for their relevant openings. Posting of and application to openings is administered through NISCON.

Forex Treasury (Finance Department) @ Firstsource Solutions Ltd.: Application was aimed at allowing Firstsource to deal with various currencies using Forward contract bookings and cancellations, deal slip reports and mark to market reports.

  I've been in the software development for around 4+ years. Currently I'm working on Microsoft Technologies. Primary region of focus includes Microsoft Office Share Point Server 2007 (WSS 3.0), .NET 3.5, and hands on experience in SQL server Business Intelligence which includes SSRS, SSIS and little bit experience of SSAS.
