Carrying out daily duties of an accountant. Managing Finance in departments. Complying with Botswana Laws & Regulations.Computation & submission of WHT, PAYE. LEVY & VAT.
Other duties involved processing Payroll of over 100 employees and also maintain their records, implementing Pastel and Dealer Management System integrated with accounting package.I am also handling other small property companies which basically involves VAT & WHT returns.
I was reporting directly to the management, hence the meeting involved reports like Work In Progress, Creditors/Debtors Age analysis and P&L for the period.
Achievement: I was successfully able to reconstruct AFS and Tax computation for prior year with very little or no information. I was able to also gain better understanding of the retail markets - may it be parts. My involvement was to scrutinize the cost and save the company from over spending or unnecessary spending.
