Research Associate of Dept. Of Biotechnology,Govt. of India

Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India

Working as Research Associate (DBT funded) in the Department of Organic Chemistry, in the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Kolkata, India-700032.

The focus of this work is the study of non-peptide based morpholinos (novel design for the purpose of cell penetration) and small molecule induced inhibition of Hedgehog signalling pathways in Cancer cells and zebrafish embryos.

Post Doctoral Research Associate

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, India-500007

The first PDF was at CCMB where, I had the opportunity to work on the proteome mapping of Crocodylus palustris (Indian mugger), embryonic brain and reproductive tissues. The primary aim of that project was to map the proteins that are vital  for the determination of sex organ in these organism where the main determining factor for sex is temperature.

Research Fellowship in Sciences for meritorious students

University Grant Commission, Govt. of India

The effect of PKA inhibition during maturational process in climbing Perch (Anabas testudineus) oocytes

The study involves the mapping of the cellular pathways that are involved in the process of development  of a primary oocyte to a developed ovum.
