UN Women, Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific 
  • Formulated  & planned for a Regional Training of youth activists across the region
  • Facilitated a three day training of 20 regional youth activists in Bangkok, Thailand
  • Provided learning support in future plan designing for regional actors to take forward the agenda in their regions
  • Networking and building partnerships for participatory communications campaigns and planning for social media advocacy .

As Manager of the Global Safer Cities free of Violence against Women & Girls Initiative, Delhi supported by UN Women, I was responsible to ensure multi level stakeholder engagement on the issue. 

  • Forging partnerships with community & government level stakeholders to ensure their participation in the Programme
  • Develop action plans & process designing for the programme intervention and ensure its implementation
  • Content development on issues of safety in public places, gender perspective on urban planning & designing, safe schools, access to justice and others through reports and information leaflets
  • Designing campaigns in the city and as part of Global networks on women's safety in public places
  • Training and facilitation of various groups including police officials, Government school teachers and other govt. functionaries
  • Perspective building through sensitisation workshops & spreading information on governance tools with women & youth from low income communities as well as other community workers. 
  • Managing financial and managerial role including donor reports on impact assessment and monitoring formats

As Coordinator of the Safer Cities Initiative in Jharkhand supported by Oak Foundation, I was responsible for the following:

  • Mapping of resources and policies on violence against women and girls in the State through secondary data
  • Worked closely with development of the quantative tool of the research and gave inputs to finalise the questionnaire
  • Established partnerships at the local level to acknowledge the issue and support the program
  • Facilitated the qualitative data collection process including focus group discussions and safety audits as part of the research. 
  • Developed guidelines for conducting qualitative data collection process. 
  • Submitted donor reports and communication as deemed under the project

Campaign Manager and Media Relations

Responsible for on line and off line media advocacy including forging partnerships with media houses to partner in the programe. Have successful managed a three year partnership with Women's Feature Service for a series of 20 articles over the period. I have been  managing online campaigns through social media sites. I have been coordinating three global campaigns for Jagori including, UNiTE Campaign, One Billion Rising and Global Anti Street Sexual Harassment 

Programme Implementation

I have been responsible for donor relations including progamme  reporting. As the Manager, I closely worked with a team including technical experts including monitoring advisors, programme implementation team including  community mobilisers and  peer educators

Financial Compliance 

Have been supporting the Finance Department of the organisation to fulfill audit requirements. I have been also supporting in face form completions and other financial requirement as deemed by the donor agencies like US AID, UN Women and Bread for the World.  

Trainer and Facilitator

Have been involved as part of CSO coalition on Gender Sensitive curriculum for Delhi Police, have also facilitated several training and workshops at the University level, youth from marginalized communities etc.  

Qualitative Research

Have been a part of developing guidelines and research plans for qualitative data collection. I have completed a review of  curriculum of Delhi Transport Corporation on gender & women's safety, participated in data collection for review of effectiveiness of Delhi Police Helpline and also in conducting and documenting FGDs in Delhi and Jharkhand on women's safety in public places

  • Member of the the UNiTE Youth Network representing India. 
  • Represented the UNiTE Youth Network at the Global Youth Forum on ICPD+20, Bali, 2012 
  • Youth Speaker at the Beijing+20 on Safer Cities for Women and Girls in two side panels 
  • Represented Jagori at several national as well as international media spaces on the issue of safety of women in public places on behalf of Jagori
  • Mentored several international fellows recruited at Jagori including American Indian Foundation, Indiana University and others
