The main purpose was the support to relief, rehabilitation and development projects of CARE International Germany in the region, in planning, acquisition, monitoring and reporting. Comprehensive in country trainings focused on European Commission project procedures, Log frame approach, Budgeting, Proposal writing, narrative and financial Reporting requirements. Developed European Commissions(EC-ACP) Water facilities concept papers and full proposals for submission to the EC for Mozambique, Ethiopia and Zambia with a volume of€ 15 Mio(3 projects x5). The ACP-EU Water Facility was set up in 2004, with the principal objective of providing water and basic sanitation to the poor, and to improve water management governance in African Caribbean and Pacific(ACP) countries. Led the design and full proposal for the Mozambican Sustainable and Effective Economic Development(SEED) project. Served as technical advisor to SEED, which increased poor household access to and control over a diversified portfolio of farm and non-farm income generating activities that operate on commercially and environmentally sustainable terms in the target area of Northern Inhambane. Developed the“ Agribusiness Entrepreneur Network and Training Program” for CARE Zimbabwe, which enabled agro-input agents to provide goods and services to smallholder farmers in regions otherwise inaccessible to private sector input suppliers and agribusiness companies.
