Cast Projectionist

Galaxy Cineplex

At the Cineplex my duties included running a cashiers till as well as cashing out, preparing and serving food, cleaning concession thoroughly, greeting and ushering guests, cleaning theaters, and overall customer service. I was also promoted to a Projectionist which includes threading and starting all the projectors. this had me use my punctuality skills as each show had to be started on time. Working with money has shown that I can be very accountable for my action and very responsible with money o know isn’t mine. The Theater places a lot of trust into their employee’s personal morals on the job.

Office Assistant

Piikani Resource Development Ltd.

Working with PRD required me to use many office skills to complete tasks such as answering phone calls, filing confidential files, writing assessment reports, and typing up BCRs. I was also asked to work with the maintenance staff every once and a while to organize offices and help with the hands on aspect of some PRD projects. PRD had to trust all of the employees they employed to complete their tasks on time with little supervision; this was done because PRD had been working on so many projects at the time they didn’t have time to supervise everyone all at once, And everything done had to be done in a professional quality manner.

Juniour Forest Ranger

Sustainable Resource Development

While working with the Junior Forest Rangers we were taught basic survival techniques while in the wilderness. We were also taught to work as a team to get the job done properly, quickly and efficiently. Great emphasis was placed on teamwork while working with the junior forest rangers. Everything had to be done with a safe and timely manner to ensure that no team members were injured and each task was completed correctly. Many of the stations at the year end competition were team based which required everyone to do their part to finish the station.

Skills

Skills

Ambitious

When presented with a task, I do not like to leave it half finished or even if it is done with have the effort. Generally, when charged with a task it has to be important even if it is a little task and every task should be done with all of your effort. Any task I work on I can do with little supervision to do a proficient job depending on how well I am trained.

Punctuality

I always try to be early for important dates and something even if its as little as going to the show, I really don't like to be late for anything.

Summary

I am a twenty year old student currently residing in Lethbridge, Alberta. I am currently attending the Lethbridge College taking the Criminal Justice Program working towards a Criminal Justice Diploma. I grew up in Pincher Creek, Alberta attending the elementary school there as well as the high school where I obtained my High School Diploma.

Objective

To obtain as much experience and knowledge as I can to further me in my career path.

Volunteer Experience

While living in Pincher Creek, I was part of youth group at the local friendship center. The youth council, as it was called, was comprised of twelve youth from the community. Of the twelve, five positions were elected to represent the council; President, Vice President, treasurer, secretary and Youth Rep. i had been elected as the councils youth rep and as such had to accompany the director of the friendship center the the quarterly meeting held in Edmonton every four months. when attending these meeting I had to show what our friendship center had done in the four months and planned for the next four months, and listen to what the others had done.

Also, as youth rep I was selected to sit on another council comprised of six youth from the province; the point of this was to re-allocate money from the government to the different friendship centers in the province. We were given a set of criteria that each friendship center had to meet and show through proposals each had written. We then gave a score for each friendship center, which was put into a formula, according to their proposal entry to give them a percentage of the money from the government. I sat on this council two years in a row.
