Kozminski Academy of Enterpreneurship and Management

The Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management (LKAEM) is an internationally renowned private business school located in the very heart of Europe. We are young and ambitious, as our students are, and we have achieved much since our creation in 1993. We offer recognized B.B.A., M.A., M.B.A., and Ph.D. programs in business management and finance. Our course offerings have a unique international flavour; they are taught entirely in English by top-notch international faculty with degrees and teaching experience from prestigious universities throughout the world. Our students come from 26 nationalities, creating a truly international atmosphere that enables them to experience the richness of various cultures blended together with our own “Kozminski way.”

The Kozminski Way consists of three main components:

  • the highest of international standards of academic excellence;
  • openness to the world;
  • respect for students’ interests, empathy, friendly service, and spirit of togetherness.

In 1999, LKAEM became the 16th business school in Europe to be accredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS)—considered by many to be the most prestigious accrediting body in the world—and by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in Brussels, joining the ranks of prestigious academic business schools in Europe such as INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France; the London Business School, and IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. As the only EQUIS-accredited institution in Central and Eastern Europe, we are considered the best business school in the region, combining internationally recognized teaching standards with full academic rights and the reputation of a centre of excellence in research. In 1999 our EQUIS accreditation was successfully renewed, and in 2005 it was extended for another five years.

Additional accreditations and recognitions include:Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) accreditation;Poland’s Ministry of Education’s Accreditation Committee rated our management programs the best in the country;The widest circulated Polish magazines have consistently ranked us at the top of all private higher education institutions in the country for the past 10 years; and Mindful of our prestige and international reputation, we chose to partner with the Bradford University School of Business—one of the highest ranking British university business schools (ranked fourth on Financial Times’ 2005 list of best schools)—in offering joint dual degree programs for the M.A. in International Business and the Executive M.B.A.
