Summary

I have been working as a broadcast meteorologist for several years now.  My latest stop has been with WNCT, the CBS affiliate for the Greenville-New Bern-Washington, NC TV market (DMA #100), where I am currently the weekend morning meteorologist & weather/environmental/feature reporter. In 2016, I started a feature series called "Places & People with Pierce," highlighting interesting places & people in Eastern North Carolina & the region.  I also have previous experience as a traffic reporter.

  • Anchor & produce weather segments for 2 hour weekend morning news from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. using Baron Omni graphics program
  • Provide constant weather updates at WNCT.com, on station & personality Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram pages
  • Cut-in to regular programming as necessary to alert public of severe weather
  • Edit, clip, & upload video to station website
  • Fill in for weekday morning & evening meteorologists as needed
  • Work on special projects for on-air & online
  • “One-man-band” style reporting
