Creation of simple illustrations, flowcharts piecharts and barcharts Editing of illustrations supplied to my clients as required.
Adobe Photoshop
Simple image editing, manipulation and cleanup, colour balance, sharpening. Have created multi-layered collages for covers. Plenty of contouring images over many years.
Adobe InDesign
Title typography for covers of textbooks Appropriate use of typefaces, linelength and leading for publications for visual appeal, aesthetics, to make covers memorable, texts easy to follow and a pleasure to read.

  • Text and cover designs of primary, secondary and higher education texts; provide final files to publishing companies to their specifications
  • Design and format books for a small trade publisher in Sydney
  • Page texts from simple primary books to complex secondary textbooks, either from design templates provided or my own design. Correct texts to editor’s markups. Provide all files at every stage, to publishing company’s specifications
  • Image research for covers
  • I design all the printing material for the Loose Change Sponsorship Scheme, a small local charity that supports a Tanzanian orphanage.
